‘Yasijibat Kiy Garan’- which is the title of Sahawa’s latest Oromo/Borana song is already a certified hit with some fans even confessing that it is by far, her best song in her entire music catalogue.
The official music video for the song was released shortly after the launch of her debut album on the 28th of September 2023.
Since then, it has been one of the most requested songs in local radios and her fans have also been having a field day on video sharing sites such as TikTok and even Facebook.
The song’s theme is about unrequited love where the artist(Sahawa) sings asking why her better half seduced her into a love relationship while not being serious and ends up breaking her heart.
It is a melancholic song but the vibrance in Sahawa’s vocals and her smooth cascading demeanor makes it interesting to listen to on repeat.
While the song has been on Youtube for just over a month, the views it has garnered over that period of time has been quite impressive.
The song now has over 25 thousand views and climbing rapidly as more of her fans continue discovering it every passing day.
Despite being relatively new in the industry only immersing herself in the secular entertainment industry after the general elections of 2022, Sahawa has been running riot churning out hit after hit since then and is now recognized as one of the substantive artists from Northern Kenya.
One of her other songs titled ‘Yadho Tetuyu Waola'(ShakaHola) has already crossed 100k views on Youtube at just over a year since being premiered on the site.
