In response to Senator Dullo’s criticisms of Isiolo’s security apparatus, Governor Hassan defended local security teams, warning that unwarranted attacks on law enforcement could destabilize ongoing peace efforts.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to transparency, good governance, and service delivery, assuring residents that he would not be intimidated by political theatrics.

On her part, Senator Fatuma Dullo has maintained her stance, calling for a complete overhaul of Isiolo’s security system.

She further strongly accused Governor Guyo for having a hand in the recent heckling of President Ruto in Isiolo while he was finalizing his working tour of Northern Kenya, an accusation which the governor has promptly denied.
The senator also claimed that drug trafficking had become rampant in Isiolo and called on the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) to launch thorough investigations.
