Narok County, Kenya| In a bid to foster unity, development, and improved governance, Narok County leaders have instituted an annual prayer meeting where clergy, county staff, and residents will come together to seek divine intervention in their affairs.
Governor Patrick Ntutu, while addressing the gathering, emphasized that the initiative aims to bring spiritual renewal and encourage ethical leadership among public servants.
He noted that seeking God’s guidance would not only enhance service delivery but also create a sense of responsibility and commitment among county employees.
“We should carry out our duties as though we are doing them for God, with diligence and unwavering dedication,” Governor Ntutu urged. “We must leave Narok better than we found it.”
The governor called on departmental leaders to make decisions that prioritize the well-being of the people rather than personal interests.
Acknowledging that leadership comes with tough choices, he emphasized that every decision should ultimately benefit the residents of Narok County.
“Sometimes, the decisions we make may not please everyone, but as leaders, our focus must be on the greater good,” he advised.
The prayers also extended beyond governance, with clergy and attendees seeking divine intervention for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development in Narok.
Leaders expressed hope that the event would cultivate a culture of integrity and accountability, ensuring that county affairs are conducted with transparency and fairness.
The annual prayer event is expected to become a cornerstone of governance in Narok, reinforcing the county’s commitment to faith-based leadership while fostering unity among residents.
