Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, has been dealt a big blow in his quest to unite his Ukambani region ahead of 2027 in order to challenge President William Ruto for presidency.
After former Kitui County Governor Charity Ngilu returns to active politics after a long silence since 2022 elections, and told the region to go Raila’s way by joining the government in order to get development projects.
According to a report by Taifa Leo Newspaper headline today, Ngilu has criticized Kalonzo’s hard stand against Ruto’s government arguing that the Ukambani region risks losing its development projects allocation, if the residents keeps on following Kalonzo who is seemingly taking them nowhere.
According to her, Kalonzo will not win anything against Ruto after Raila’s move to join him (Ruto), it is the therefore the people of Ukambani who will be the biggest losers by lacking development projects.
She therefore urged the people of Ukambani to stop following Kalonzo and join government the way Raila has done, and now his people are benefiting a lot by getting their deserved national government revenue allocation.
