President Dr. William Ruto says all Kenyans must play their role equally in the building of the economy through taxation.
This comes a day after Azimio leader Raila Odinga and co held a rally at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi. Lately it has been a tensed moment from the IEBC probe to the latest rallies by the opposition.
Raila has openly said he doesn’t recognize Dr. William Ruto’s presidency while asking kenyans not to buy into the taxation as well as not to pay the hustler funds rendered to kenyans.
On January 23, Raila held a rally at the Kamukunji grounds where he spelt out eight declarations. All this with aim to suppress the new regime just months after the Supreme court upheld the election results which saw Raila lose to William Ruto.
President Ruto’s reply has been an affirmative word that he won’t stop untill each law passed on taxation has been enforced. He said that those funding the Azimio rallies are the ones with plans to evade taxations.
“Even if they sponsor demonstrations so that they don’t pay taxes, I want to promise them, they will pay tax. There is no more exception,”
“This country is not the animal farm where some are more equal than others. We are going to have a society where every citizen carries a fair share of our burden to raise their taxes,” Ruto said.
Ruto said his aim is not introduction of new taxes but implémentation of the laws thats have been in existence and those that had been passed but the parliament.”Look for a different person to threaten.
I was elected by Kenyans in broad daylight,” Ruto said.”For you, you had the system, the deep state and the government, but we defeated you,” said president William Ruto.
