Serie A’s FIGC Prosecutor has ruled that Juventus will be given a -15 point deduction as result of the “Plusvalenza Case”, club’s capital gain violations.
The 36-times italian champions will be hit by the penalty for false accounting following an appeal hearing at the Italian football federation.
The italian club have denied any accussations made and were earlier in April 2022 cleared by the sports court. later on an appeal was made after the federation collected papers from the Turin prosecutors from a separate investigation done on the club finances.
In case of the deduction, Juventus will fall from third to 10th in the Serie A table and likely to miss out on european football next campaign. With 20 games left to play, Juventus currently have 37 points, that is 10 points behind league leaders Napoli.
A major highlighted transfer was between Barca and Juve involving players Pjanic and Arthur Melo in 2020. Payments involving Cristiano Ronaldo was also among the allegations.
” We consider this to be a blatant injustice also for millions of fans, which we hope soon to be remedied in the next court,” club lawyers statement.
An appeal to the country’s Sport Guarantee Board will be presented once the reasons for the ruling are published
