During the handover ceremony, Hon. Aden Noor Ali expressed strong confidence in Dr. Atikiya’s ability to lead.

He noted that her vast experience and visionary approach would steer the Authority to greater heights.

The Chairman also thanked the outgoing leadership for their service and assured stakeholders of a seamless transition.

As she takes the helm, Dr. Atikiya is expected to drive NITA’s strategic agenda with focus and precision.

Her key priorities include enhancing the quality and reach of industrial training programmes.

She will also work to strengthen partnerships with industry players, training institutions, and government agencies.

Another major goal is to position NITA as the undisputed leader in skills development in Kenya.

This aligns with the national vision of creating a competent, competitive, and agile workforce for the 21st century economy.

Industry observers have welcomed the appointment, citing Dr. Atikiya’s track record in turning around training institutions.

Her leadership style is often described as inclusive, data driven, and results oriented.
