•Condemns U.S. Policies, and Stresses Commitment to Diplomacy
Tehran, Iran| The Iranian government has strongly denied accusations of interference in Syria, reaffirmed its stance against U.S. economic and political pressure, and addressed various international issues, including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and tensions in the Balkans.
Iran Rejects Accusations of Meddling in Syria
Iran has firmly denied claims that it is interfering in Syria’s internal affairs. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei dismissed the accusations as “false and politically motivated.”
He insisted that all parties involved in the Syrian crisis bear responsibility for the ongoing situation.
Baqaei also condemned recent attacks on Syria’s Alawite community, describing the killings as “shocking and tragic.”
He called on the Syrian government to take urgent measures to protect civilians and maintain stability.
Additionally, he confirmed that Iran has raised concerns about the escalating violence with key international stakeholders.
U.S.-Iran Tensions: No Letter from Trump, No Talks Under Pressure
Addressing rumors that U.S. President Donald Trump had sent a letter to Iran, Baqaei categorically denied the claim, stating that no such communication had been received. He labeled the reports as baseless.
Baqaei also responded to recent U.S. threats against Iran, stating that they violate international laws.
He emphasized that Iran remains committed to diplomacy but will not engage in negotiations under coercion.
“Negotiations under pressure are meaningless,” he asserted, reiterating Iran’s stance against being forced into diplomatic talks.
Iran Criticizes U.S. Economic Sanctions on Iraq
Iran has sharply criticized Washington’s decision to prevent Iraq from purchasing Iranian natural gas.
The United States recently refused to extend a waiver that had allowed Iraq to buy gas from Iran without facing U.S. sanctions.
Baqaei called the decision “unjust and illegal,” arguing that such economic restrictions harm not only Iran but also Iraq and the broader region.
He urged Middle Eastern countries to resist U.S. pressure and prioritize their own economic sovereignty, stressing that Washington’s policies undermine regional stability.
Disappointment Over Switzerland’s Canceled Gaza Meeting
Iran has expressed disappointment over Switzerland’s abrupt cancellation of a meeting intended to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The gathering, planned as part of a United Nations (UN) resolution, aimed to address human rights concerns in the war-torn region.
Baqaei noted that several Muslim countries and international organizations had been anticipating the discussions.
He warned that the cancellation weakened global efforts to assist Palestinian civilians and criticized human rights organizations for not doing enough to protect Palestinian lives.
Iran Investigating Mysterious Deaths of Citizens in France
The Iranian government is actively investigating the deaths of two Iranian citizens in France, which occurred three months ago under unclear circumstances.
Baqaei confirmed that the Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring the case and is in communication with French authorities.
Additionally, an Iranian university professor has gone missing in France. Baqaei stated that Iran has requested updates from French officials and is awaiting further information.
Iran Condemns Forced Displacement of Palestinians
Iran has again spoken out against the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
Baqaei emphasized that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) recently met in Jeddah to discuss the issue, with the resulting Jeddah Declaration reaffirming that Palestine remains a core issue for the Islamic world.
“The forced removal of Palestinians is unacceptable and amounts to genocide,” Baqaei stated, calling for increased humanitarian aid and collective action against Israeli policies.
He described the suffering of Palestinian children, many of whom have lost their families, as one of the most tragic aspects of the ongoing conflict.
Iran-China Relations Remain Strong
Baqaei reassured that Iran’s relationship with China remains stable and cooperative. He highlighted the long-standing friendship between the two nations and their shared economic and political interests.
He also praised China’s role in the Middle East, noting that Iran values China’s support in global affairs and welcomes further collaboration.
Iran Warns Against Foreign Interference in the Balkans
Iran has voiced opposition to any foreign interference in the Balkan region, particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Baqaei stressed that local populations should resolve their disputes through dialogue rather than relying on external influence.
He warned that foreign intervention in sensitive geopolitical areas like the Balkans exacerbates conflicts and hinders diplomatic solutions.
Iran Rejects IAEA Allegations Against Its Nuclear Program
Baqaei dismissed accusations from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding Iran’s nuclear program, calling them politically motivated.
He insisted that Iran has adhered to all international regulations and that IAEA reports have consistently confirmed Iran’s compliance with nuclear inspections.
Once again, Baqaei reiterated that Iran will not engage in negotiations with the U.S. under pressure.
He firmly rejected reports that Washington had reached out for talks, insisting that Tehran will not accept diplomacy dictated by threats or coercion.
Iran’s latest statements reflect its firm stance on multiple international issues, from rejecting U.S. economic pressure and interference in the Middle East to advocating for Palestinian rights and warning against foreign involvement in the Balkans.
As tensions with Washington persist, Tehran continues to emphasize diplomacy—on its own terms—while strengthening ties with allies such as China and regional partners.
