Speaking during the official launch, Mr Dibah said the initiative not only provides a platform for young people to showcase their sporting talent but also underscores Governor Abdi Ibrahim’s commitment to the welfare of the youth.

“This tournament is a testament to how much the Governor values the youth. It’s a way of giving them opportunities to shine, connect, and grow, while also steering them away from negative influences, ” Dibah noted.

Dibah observed that The Governor’s Cup is a vital step towards empowering young people, offering them a chance to demonstrate their skills, build networks, and foster personal growth.

Community leaders and youth advocates have lauded the Governor’s efforts, calling it a significant move to nurture talent and encourage constructive engagement among the youth.

Mr Mohamed Abdullahi, a proponent of youth empowerment, stated that by prioritizing such programs, the county government shows its dedication to creating opportunities for the youth and investing in their future.

As teams battle it out for the prestigious title, the tournament also aims to promote unity and positive interactions among participants from various wards.
