Herman Manyora Predicts Raila’s Plan B After Realizing He Is Not Sure Of Winning AU Seat

As Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o is facing a herculean task to fill the shoes of Opposition leader Raila Odinga amid simmering political storms that are threatening the future of the ODM party.

However, Insiders and political analysts have revealed that Raila has shed off his role to Nyong’o on temporariy basis as he concentrates on continental politics, in which he might relinquish anytime and come back to vie for presidency in 2027 elections.

Political commentators believe the ODM’s announcement is intended to pave the way for Raila to run for president in 2027.

Herman Manyora, a lecturer at the University of Nairobi, stated that ODM picked Nyong’o to represent Raila’s future interests in Kenyan politics.

Manyora said that Raila’s refusal to leave the ODM party leadership position indicates that he is still interested in running for Kenya’s presidency in 2027.

He claimed that Odinga is unsure about gaining the AUC chairperson position.

As a result, even if he wins the AUC chairmanship race, he may run for president again in 2027.

“What I am foreseeing is that Odinga will still participate in Kenyan active politics in the future.

On one hand, he may be unsure of winning the AUC chairperson bid.

On the other hand, he may win the seat, serve for a few years, and abandon the seat to come back and vie for presidency in Kenya in 2027,” Manyora said.

In addition, Herman Manyora argued that if that was not the case, Siaya Governor James Orengo would have been named the central management committee chairman instead.
