The National Youth Service (NYS) in Kenya has unveiled a remarkable opportunity for NYS graduates, with the announcement of at least 993 job vacancies in Australia.
In a statement released on the agency’s website, NYS highlighted the diverse range of positions available.

The open positions span a variety of sectors, including:
- Light vehicle mechanics (120 positions)
- Diesel mechanics (100 positions)
- Panel beaters (50 positions)
- Auto Glaziers (Window Fitters) (38 positions)
- Motor vehicle electricians (115 positions)
- Fitter machinists (50 positions)
- Painters (130 positions)
- Construction carpenters (200 positions)
- Ceramic wall and floor tilers (190 positions)

The National Youth Service was established as part of the transition process from a colonial to a national state in Kenya.
The agency’s initial mandate was to support and resettle young Kenyans who had been disadvantaged during the struggle for independence, as well as to train and deploy young men and women to serve the nation in tasks of national importance.
