“Women and youth of our great county hold great potential. However, past programs have failed to tap into and translate it into economic transformation. To this end, I have today, as a personal initiative, provided enablers to economic freedom to several youth and women groups.” Reads a part of a post that he made on his Facebook page.
The governor further revealed that he had “successfully lobbied for the tarmacking of roads within Isiolo central“ adding that it will “enhance mobility and can significantly contribute to the local economy”.
He hailed the initiative as being borne from the good working relation between the two levels of government.
Governor Guyo further revealed another project being undertaken by his administration that is aimed at “value addition of farmers’ products and improve trade volumes in the county.”
He asserted that his administration has already provided land and matching funds for the construction of a County aggregated and industrial park.
In his closing remarks, the governor appealed to the electorates to “desist from retrogressive politics” and instead focus on improving livelihoods.
