Washington DC,US| President Joseph R. Biden has assured Americans that his economic plan is working as he marks two years in office.
Biden has especially touted his grand infrastructure plan which he says has been the silver-lining of these past two years.
The president who was sworn in on the 20th of January 2020 after a dramatic transition following his predecessor’s allegations of voter theft, all of which, were debunked, and the subsequent storming of the Capitol.
Biden asserted that under his administration, the economy created 11.2 million new jobs of which 750,000 were new manufacturing jobs.
The president did not hesitate to point out that the unemployment rate is at a “nearly” 50-year low while annual inflation has ‘come down’ for six months in a row.
Inflation debate was a ‘thorn in the flesh’ for the Biden administration during the just ended mid-term elections where the Democrats ceded the lower house to the Republicans.
Democrats, however, kept the senate and even increased their majority making them no longer need the Vice President Kamala Harris to break the tie.
He further mentioned his administrations swiftness in enacting key economic bills that have helped bring jobs back to America.
Among these are Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, The CHIPS and Science Act and Inflation Reduction Act. Biden is confident that with these enactments, more jobs are bound to be created in the foregoing.
Mr. Biden, who will be up for reelection in about two years, further revealed plans to replace ‘poisonous lead pipes’ across the country. “We’ve started working to replace poisonous lead pipes in America so every American can turn on a faucet at home or at school and drink clean water”, he emphasizes for good measure.
