Governor Abdi Ibrahim Hassan yesterday led a team of geologists and investors to conduct a Natural Resource Mapping exercise that will facilitate the identification, alignment, and leveraging of community resources to address the developmental needs of the society.
During the exercise, they visited; Yaqbarsadi, Kulamawe, Barambate, Malkadaka, Qubi Dimtu, and Kom Durte where precious stones namely: Gypsum, Limestone, and Gold deposits were found to be present.
Speaking during the investment field visit, Governor Abdi Hassan said that his administration will make deliberate efforts to have a County Investment Forum in two months. This he observed will be a platform to attract investors into the County.
” My administration will put in place deliberate measures to ensure we create a business-friendly environment that makes our county more attractive to investors,” Governor Abdi said adding that his administration will in two months have a County Investment Forum.
Speaking in the same field visit, Isiolo County Assembly Speaker Hon. Mohamed Roba Qoto said the County Assembly will work closely with the executive to ensure the county has an investments bill.
However, he observed this will be after conducting extensive public participation forums to give the people of Isiolo an opportunity to have their say as the resources belong to them.
