Ruto on a charm offensive in South Korea

Seoul, S.Korea| President William Samoei Ruto jetted out of the country for a series of bilateral engagements with South Korean leadership. The head of state was invited by his Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol.

The president has expressed his interest on expanding economic ties with the East Asian nation with key areas of cooperation being hinged on information,communication and technology(ICT), infrastructure, education and pharmaceuticals.

Ruto has attended a business forum where he marketed Kenya as a suitable investment destination for foreign investors. The president on Tuesday met with Kenyans living in South Korea where the he acceded to a number of suggestions placed on the table by the attendants regarding his administrations intent to fully involve the diaspora community in its foreign policy decisions.

The president also assured Kenyans that his administration is seeking opportunities for Kenyans abroad to be able to keep up with high unemployment rates that has plagued the country for years.
