Two of Somalia’s Most Celebrated Rap Sensations Team Up for a Historic Collaboration

Sharma Boy and Ilkacase Qays, undisputedly two of Somalia’s most celebrated Hip-hop heads have worked together on a song that has since gone wildly viral.

The two, known for their unrelenting rivalry over the years have thrown their respective fans into a frenzy after they released a song together, titled ‘Caga dhigo’ whose official video managed to rack up over a million views on its first day of release.

The video has garnered over 4.4 million as of the time of publishing this article. The rappers who are now both based in the United States seemingly gave their all judging by the largely positive reviews and reactions from the fans.

In the song, the artists both sing about their artistic lives, bragging about their achievements in the industry as is common with the hip-hop genre.

The introductory part of the video shows Sharma Boy pulling up in a BMW i8 sports car while muttering something in English.

Ilkacase Qays on the other hand shows up in the video stepping out of a vehicle whose make is Jeep Wrangler.

The song is currently trending at #9 on Youtube for music and is predicted to hit at least 10 million views in a month. It is currently at only two weeks old.

Some pundits have speculated that the song could be a solid indicator that the two have buried the hatchet on their long-drawn rivalry.
