Lately, our politics as country has seen a rapid change in terms of how it has been played before by the politicians.
From a times of use of force and mixed irregularities to a point in which the credibility and validitly of results has been questioned in a more civilized manner with respect of the electoral and judicial processes.
Right now, 5 months into the new regime lots have changed with political promises for 100 days in office being broken and planned for the future. As a matter of fact change can’t come out of the blues, it must be planned, mapped out and implementend but a factor known as time has to play a big role.
Today, Sunday 29th of January still carries mixed reactions as a planned rally by Azimio leaders at Jacaranda in Nairobi. President William Ruto in turn doesn’t seem swayed by a thing going on as he keeps this schedule up and running.
The past week has seen him tour France and head out to senegal for the Dakar summit. He jetted back to the country and is seen going on with his usuall presidential activities.
A number of politicians deflecting from Azimio, majorly the none re-elected politicians have been noted and it strengthens the Kenya kwanza regime.
Azimio in turn look pumped up to prove their claims of election rigging. They are planning more and more rallies against the regime but the big question is on how this rallies will affect the common mwananchi.
Where are heading as a country ? Is it the economic and developmental rebuild we are dreaming for as a country ? or Are we taking as step back ?
Its less than a year into the Ruto regime but our stability not only in economy but politically is coming up to question. Heavy taxation has been the major highlight as the president says his government aims to generate as much revenue as possible.
As the IEBC probe heats up, a weird question comes up in my mind, what if there was an election irregularity ? What next step will we take if the claims were false ?
