When Francis was a homeless settler in Paris, he had dreams of becoming a boxer one day.
Determined to make his dreams come true by any means, he started looking for a boxing gym to train at.
At this point in time, Ngannou was sleeping in a car park age 22.
By chance he met Fernand Lopez, a coach at MMA Factory in Paris, and they soon hit it off.
Lopez convinced Francis to change sports, and within two months he was competing in France’s MMA circuit.
He did kickboxing also.
He won five of his first six fights, before the UFC signed him up in 2015.
Francis Ngannou’s only major title success came in the UFC when he beat Stipe Miocic to become the UFC heavyweight champion on March 27, 2021.
In 2023 francis knocked down the boxing world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who is considered by many, including Mike Tyson, to be one of the best heavyweight fighters in this generation.
He Made over $10 million in that match. At the moment, Ng’annou is Ranked among the Top 10 Heavy Weight boxers.
Francis went from homeless to now heavyweight champion in the UFC and he moved up to boxing now getting huge payday $10-20 million per a fight.
